The best improv stories are told using techniques such as tension, dramatic pauses or even complete silence.

Rapidly delivering sentences full of details and meaning, however, is a rare and exceptional skill. The most common way to practice it is to give yourself time to think, but pressure and anxiety often pushes us to pour water instead.

Object work, or tasking, does paint the picture, it establishes location, and helps with relationship and characters. But most importantly, object work gives you time to think.

In this 2.5 hour workshop i will share with you multiple techniques i have picked up in various schools of improv and clown. I've prepared various exercises and useful tips to draw the inspiration for your object work.
