IMPROV

2024 is the year I learned about Improvisation as an art form.

That year I started my first class and learned how much fun it is.

That year I've read more books than in last 5 years. "UCB Comedy Improv Manual"

"The Hidden Tools of Comedy", "Be funny or Die", "How to be the greatest Improvisor on Earth", "The Truth in Comedy" "The Improv Illusionist", all of them showed me that Improv is very far from random and that freedom of improvisation comes from practice and exploration of skillsets.

That year I've tried to produce some shows, which were a great experience to have.

I took more classes, expanded into clown, sketch writing and acting.

I tried to teach and coach.

It's 2026 now. I've read a lot more, and I took more classes. I studied at UCB in LA and at Paper Street Theater in Victoria. I'm way more comfortable on a stage. I learned that magic of improv comes from collaboration and support. That the funniest and most interesting stories come out of serious improv. On the stage I indulge in fun now, instead of just having fun. I care deeply for the artform and hope to find people that can grow with me.
